Home Stretch MachineMay 26, 2010 This is a wonderful machine for home. I had used one at the YMCA.
I have been ill and couldn't work out everyday, but this had enabled me to stay stetched and hopefully will enable me to stay more in shape. We had a problem at first with the handlebar cover, but Amazon made good on the purchase so we can fix it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys exercising at home.
Pre-Cor Stretch TrainerMay 14, 2010 This trainer is great; it does exactly what it is designed to do: stretch the back, shoulders, buttocks and hamstrings. It is sturdy and simple to use. HOWEVER! It was WAY overpriced. $800+ for something like this is ridiculous, there is no way it costs anywhere near that to produce. You are definitely paying for the name brand more than the product. Makes Stretching Easy - Feels Like You Just Finished A Yoga Session! You Stretch At Your Own Level of Comfort.Feb 21, 2010 I got this to finish off my home gym. The owner of the store told me that he uses this every day. It's a great piece of equipment that I suspect people will use according to how much stretching is important to them. Athletes and/or people with stiffness problems will probably use it more than the rest of us. I 'forget' to use it before, after, or instead of exercising on my other machines. It's my loss when I don't though, because it is effective and easy!
The person who earlier stated that it's like yoga stretches is right. It's very similar in increasing your range of motion, and possibly your ability to move around easier and with less pain if you have a problem with stiffness.
It's great to use before and/or after aerobic exercise or alone, for those who just need a great stretch. The machine is flexible enough so you can be a little creative in how you do the stretches. You do need to be cautious. It comes with a safety strap. You wouldn't want to tumble off or have the machine plop on top of you. It isn't terribly heavy (I can move it and I'm a smaller-sized woman), but you don't want to get careless with it.
All-in-all, this is an excellent way to stretch, for whatever reason you are stretching, before, after, or instead of other exercise. I recommend it highly!

Good but PriceyFeb 19, 2010 This is a good and solid machine that's well made but is overpriced. Some of the stretching exercises shown on the panel are not very worthwhile but it does seem to help my back which is the reason I bought it. I just think that a basic stationary piece of equipment like this should be priced in the $400-$500 range max. Since it's quality was rated high I bought it because I don't want to have to replace a piece of junk but writing a check for $800+ was painful...in the wallet not the back.

Precor Stretch TrainorSep 29, 2009 Excellant product that offers outstanding lower back releif. Only problem is the price, which tends to be far more than what is should take to manufacture and sell at a profit. Nonetheless, if you have lower back disk and muscle pain, and have found little other relief, this is worth exploring. I used it at my gym for over a year before purchasing.
